ParentSquare Information
Gateway School District uses ParentSquare for school communication with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
Here’s what you can do with ParentSquare:
- Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification
- Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6pm
- Communicate in your preferred language
- Comment on school postings to engage with your school community
- Direct message teachers, staff and other parents
- Participate in group messages

How to update your contact information
- Login to Skyward at https://skyward.gatewayk12.org
- Click the Student Info tab on the left
- In the top right click Request Changes and Select Family Information
- Ensure all phone numbers and e-mail address are correct
- Only 1 phone number per guardian is used for text and non-emergency calls. The order of priority is Cell, Work, and Primary Phone.
- Each guadian can have their own phone number listed
- "Primary Phone" will always receive emergency calls.
- Click Save
- Data will be loaded in to ParentSquare over night
How to Sign up for ParentSquare
- Go to https://parentsquare.com/signin
- Enter your your E-mail or phone number and click Get Started
- Click the link provided in the E-Mail or text message
- Enter a password if you do not already have an account
- Next to each phone number and email address listed click Confirm and enter the code sent.
- Click Confirm next to each student listed
- Click “Yes, This is Me” and then “Yes, I’m positive”
How to set communication preferences
- Once you log in to ParentSquare click your name in the top right and click My Account
- On the left click Notification Settings
- You can select if you want to receive Emails, text messages, and app push notifications

How to update your contact information
- Log in to https://prosoftweb.gatewayk12.org/
- Click Employee Demographics
- Click Edit Information
- Update the following
- Cell Phone will be the primary number and will receive text messages and voice calls
- Home Phone will be the secondary number and receive emergecy calls only
- Click Submit Information
- Data in ParentSquare will update over night
How to login to ParentSquare
- Login to Classlink
- Search in the top right for ParentSquare
- Click ParentSquare SSO
- You may be prompted to verify your information on login
How to set communication preferences
- Once you log in to ParentSquare click your name in the top right and click My Account
- On the left click Notification Settings
- You can select if you want to receive Emails, text messages, and app push notifications
Students can access ParentSquare through Classlink.
How to update Student Cell Phone Numbers
- Login to Skyward via Classlink
- Switch to the Desktop version if in the mobile app by clicking the person icon in the top right of the app
- Click Student Info on the left
- Click Request Changes in the top right and select Student Information
- Select "Student Cell" from the pull down list and enter the appropriate cell number
- Click Save
- Data will be loaded in to ParentSquare over night
