Gateway, over the past year, has focused on improving the overall appearance of its schools and properties. The District worked to improve its heating in many buildings and classrooms and has improved its snow and ice removal services to District driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots. Gateway’s athletic field fences were repaired at the beginning of the year and safety gates were installed in the GHS student parking lot to protect the marching band from vehicular traffic when practicing. Safety handrails were installed at Moss Side Middle School. University Park Elementary, Moss Side Middle School, and Gateway Middle School were painted this year. We also installed a new sidewalk at University Park and anticipate installing additional lighting in the parking area, and when the weather breaks crosswalks between Cleveland Steward Elementary and the Monroeville Public Library parking lot.
